MECO Announces Phase II Plant Expansion.
Project Awarded to Kent Design Build in Mandeville, LA.
MECO has awarded Kent Design Build the phase II plant expansion to its new state-of-the-art facility in Mandeville, LA. This comes 18 months after phase I completion in July of 2014. The construction project will increase warehousing and assembly bays to meet the increasing demand for the firms water purification products. The expanded facility will be approximately 100,000 square feet and is completely vertically integrated including functions such as fabrication, machining, assembly, electrical controls and functional testing. It is purposefully built embracing lean principals and sustainability initiatives such that it is the most efficient in the world for the production of water purification systems.
