Wilson Tan and Sumedha Loy join MECO’s Asia Pacific Team
MECO is pleased to announce that Wilson Tan and Sumeda Loy have joined MECO in the firms Asia Pacific office headquartered in Singapore. Mr. Tan is a Chemical Engineer educated at the National University in Singapore. He has been in the “water business” for 18 years with GE Water’s Zenon Environmental division, Envipure of Singapore and Glegg Water Asia. Ms Loy was also formerly with GE Water’s Zenon Environmental division and began her career 30 years ago with Siemens in Singapore.
In their new roles Mr. Tan and Ms Loy will be responsible for the service and development of MECO’s business in the Asia Pacific region. MECO is a world leader in the design and construction of engineered products for water purification serving industries where water is considered a critical utility. The company manufactures a broad base of desalination technologies to the offshore oil and gas industry for use on platforms, drilling rigs and remote locations. MECO designs and constructs proprietary machinery and systems for the biopharmaceutical industry where ultrapure water is the primary ingredient in the manufacture of drugs and medical devices. Armed forces of the United States and other countries have used MECO products since World War II. The company’s latest military product, the Lightweight Water Purified (LWP), is being used in current conflicts around the globe.
