RO and DI Lab Water Systems

DI systems remove ions effectively, while reverse osmosis targets broader contaminants—but each has its limits. That’s why MECO combines both technologies to achieve exceptionally high water purity. Reverse osmosis removes bacteria, particulates, and organics; deionization ensures ionic purity. Together, they support everything from research accuracy to equipment longevity.

Reverse Osmosis Water

RO water is widely used across the life sciences. MECO RO systems rely on semi-permeable membranes to remove salts, pathogens, and organics—making them ideal for cell culture, media prep, and general lab use.

RO systems also leave trace minerals that may be beneficial in certain biological applications, such as microbiology and tissue culture.

Deionized (DI) Water for Labs
